Pricing and Rates
Pricing and Package Options
I offer hourly, full-day and multiday rates that include a base amount of images and post-production. However, every photography project is different and so naturally are the cost involved too.
I encourage all clients to decide on a media and photography budget for each project and share this information with me. I can then put together a custom package that provides you with as much value within your budget as is possible.
Generally speaking, there are three variables that impact price the most these include.
• Time needed on site
• Number of images delivered
• Type of usage license required
After getting to understand your project, I will provide you with a project proposal outlining my ideas for the shoot, a likely timeline of event, as well as pricing and licensing options. This will allow you to be fully clear on the expected cost and variables before we get started. With all of this in mind, costs can usually start from around $500 and go up to $2000+ for large multi-day shoots.
New Businesses
I love connecting with new businesses and helping them to get on their feet and build their first portfolio.
If you are a fairly new business or someone just starting out and would love to work with me but are concerned about the costs of using a professional architectural photographer, please reach out. I would be happy to discuss a special arrangement.
Cost Sharing
Cost-sharing is an easy way of significantly reducing your costs for professional photography by involving other businesses and people who would be interested in licensing the images for their own purposes too.
This can be anyone but typically includes other 3rd parties involved with the project. Such as contractors, material suppliers, product manufacturers, builders, the architect, interior designer or the project client themselves.
How does it work? When another party agrees to come on board an additional licensing fee per party, typically 30% of the original total, is added to the final invoice. Then, the complete costs are shared evenly among each party, thus reducing everybody’s final expenses for the shoot. The more parties that come on board, the more cost-effective the shoot for all involved.
Under this model, costs can be reduced by almost 50% with the involvement of only 3 other parties and will continue to reduce further with each additional one.
